Brief Description
A major in Sociology provides an understanding of individuals, groups, and the relationships among individuals, groups, social structures and organizations. Sociologists are found in a wide range of careers in which people need an understanding of social behavior and human interactions including positions in research, policy making, administration, and business, as well as service organizations and government at all levels. This degree is also excellent preparation for graduate school.
