Summer 2008 Course Schedules & Registration
   

Main Campus Registration

Registration for Summer Semester is ongoing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Registrar's Office in North Hall beginning March 24, 2008. Registration will continue through May 30, 2008. Returning students will register as follows:

Seniors (90+ hours) beginning Monday, March 24, 2008
Juniors (60-90 hours) beginning Tuesday, March 25, 2008
Sophomores (30-59 hours) beginning Wednesday, March 26, 2008
Freshmen (0-29 hours) beginning Thursday, March 27, 2008
Open Registration begins Friday, March 28, 2008
New Student Registration begins Monday, April 7, 2008

Advisors will assist with schedule planning to assure that all information requested on the registration form is complete and accurate. All registration forms must be signed by your advisor. Students must pay all fees prior to the first day of classes to become officially enrolled.

Directed Study Courses and/or Independent Stud y requests must have necessary approvals at the time of registration. Directed Study Courses will be available only to students holding upper-class status. No student may be concurrently enrolled at another institution while attending Urbana University. Credit will not be granted for courses completed in this manner.

Adult and Graduate Registration

Registration for Summer Classes is ongoing for off-campus and evening students. Please consult your academic advisor for days and times of registration.

Drop/Adds

The forms for adding and dropping classes are available at the Office of the Registrar or from off-campus site directors. These forms, with all necessary approvals, must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office according to the Academic Calendar.

ALL FINAL GRADES, INCLUDING MAY TERM, WILL BE PROCESSED AFTER THE FINAL SUMMER CLASS, AUGUST 1, 2008.

Exam Schedule

Final examinations for Summer Semester 2008 courses will be administered during the last regularly scheduled class session.

Graduating Students

All students must file the formal Application for Degree with the Registrar’s Office according to the following schedule:

Semester of Graduation Deadline Filing

Fall Graduates: 1st day of Summer Semester
Spring Graduates: 1st day of Fall Semester
Summer Graduates: 1st day of Spring Semester

All degree requirements must be completed before any student may participate in graduation ceremonies. Any student filing an application after the due date may not be permitted to participate in the Fall or Spring graduation ceremony and will be charged a late application fee. Students graduating in Summer and Fall semesters will participate in the December ceremony while students graduating in Spring semester will participate in the May Ceremony. Students not graduating on the expected date must reapply for graduation and submit the reapplication fee. Students must be registered for at least one course during the term of graduation.
