As the only institution of higher learning in town, Urbana University is a big part of what’s happening in the City of Urbana and Champaign County. The University proudly hosts a variety of social and cultural events throughout the year, positioning lifelong learning as a way of life in Urbana.

Champaign County has been home to successful business, industry and agriculture for nearly 200 years, which creates an ideal place for students to gain hands-on learning experiences. County parks, state preserves and community recreational programs support lifelong learners who love to get outside.

With four small towns, a full-fledged city and a dozen rural villages and townships with miles of picturesque farmland – the Urbana University community is close to home, bur far from ordinary.
