Men's Swim Team Posts 2nd Best GPA in D2

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is proud to announce the 2014 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams. The CSCAA Scholar All-America program is supported by Nike Swim. The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

After two straight semesters with the top GPA in the country in NCAA Division II, the Urbana University men's swim team finished second behind Catawba College in the fall of 2014. Last fall semester, the Urbana men led the entire country, male or female in all divisions, with a 3.82 team GPA. The Blue Knights posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.44 this fall. Urbana's women remained in the top 30 of D2's national rankings after posting a pair of top 10 finishes a year ago. Last fall, the Blue Knight women climbed as high as 6th in D2 with a 3.53 team GPA. This fall, Urbana finished 30th in the division with a solid GPA of 3.25. Read More
